Original Medals of J.J. Dwyer VC

After the war is fought, the service is over, or the memory fades, the only visible form of recognition remaining are the medals that you wear. We at Foxhole Medals will ensure that your medals are correctly presented and preserved, never to be forgotten.

Your medals can be lightly cleaned or polished on request, re-mounted in either style, and shipped back to you in 3 weeks. If you require a speedy service for that up coming event that slipped your mind, an express service is available for a small additional fee to ensure you are not out of uniform.

Medal Mounting can be purchased through our Foxhole Shop.

The two methods of presenting your medals are Court Mounted and Swing Mounted.

Court Mounted Medals - AFSM, National Medal, ANSM
Court Mounted

When the Medals are Court Mounted using stitches, are secured to a backing board which is wrapped with the medal ribbon. They are firmly secured to ensure they do not contact other medals in a damaging way. This method is the only approved method for current serving members.

Swing Mounted

As the title suggests, Swing Mounted Medals are suspended from a brooch pin and using stitches, the ribbons are secured to the pin and are able to swing freely. This is the better known method of mounting; however it is the most damaging to your medals as they constantly rub and strike against each other when worn.

Swing Mounted Medals - 1914/15 Star, WW1 War Medal, Victory Medal
