Clasp for DFSM | Additional Service Clasp for Defence Force Service Medal
Additional DFSM Service Recognition
Additions in increments of five years’ service are recognised by a cupronickel bar featuring the EIIR (Queen Elizabeth II Royal Cypher) in the centre, flanked by sprigs of wattle.
When the ribbon is worn alone, clasps 1 to 4 are each shown by a nickel-plated round rosette. At the fifth clasp, the four rosettes are replaced by one silver miniature Federation Star. Each further clasp adds another Federation Star.
DFSM ribbon bar spacing: with 2 clasps, one rosette sits in the middle of each gold stripe; the third goes in the centre; from 4 they are spaced equally (Navy Dress Manual, para 7.50).
How many to order
Order one clasp for each clasp earned, in each size you need. Choose Full size + miniature if you need both.
The ribbon bar is different: it shows rosettes for up to 4 clasps, then Federation Stars replace the rosettes from the fifth clasp. Rosettes and stars are the same whatever the cypher, so order them from Rosettes & Federation Stars.
