Restore Your Family’s Legacy – Court Mounting for Original Medals
Each original medal carries a unique story worth preserving. With over 20 years of experience restoring full-size and miniature medals, I personally dismantle, clean, and remount each one by hand — treating every medal with the same precision, respect, and care it deserves.
Wherever possible, I recommend restoring original medals properly — then setting them aside in safe storage for the next caretaker. Original medals are irreplaceable. While I court mount them to full official standards, I don’t recommend wearing them to events or public parades. Instead, a replica set can be made to match for regular wear — and the sentimentality of wearing the same set once worn by the original recipient should not be undervalued.

Important Notes
- This service is for original medals only. If you are sending replica medals, please order from the Recycling Existing Replicas collection instead.
- Brooch bar is supplied by default. For Navy jackets or if you experience arthritis or limited hand strength, I recommend selecting stud pins as they’re easier to affix than a brooch bar.
- All restoration work is performed by hand by me — no outsourcing, no shortcuts.

Remounting Existing Medals
To remount an existing set, select the size of the medals you have and the quantity of medals you have in each size.
For example: if you have 3 existing full size medals that you would like remounted on a brooch bar then select Original / Marches & Ceremonies then 3 for Quantity.

Adding new award
If you need to add new awards to your rack, select the number of existing medals you have in each size and add them to your cart, then proceed to add your new awards in the size/s you need to the cart (and select the swing-mounting option). The prices of our new replicas include the supply and mounting of each medal.

Court or Swing Mount?
Both styles still have a brooch bar on the back to enable them to be worn on clothing. If none of the above criteria are relevant to your order, you are free to go with personal preference.
