Royal Australian Navy (Level 3 - Gold) Commendation Badge

Defence introduced a commendation scheme to recognise outstanding or exceptional achievement, or specific acts of bravery, by Defence personnel. These achievements are often not suitably recognised by the Australian honours and awards system.

A commendation may be made for a single outstanding performance, or for consistent performance.

Commendations may be made to individuals or groups*.

These badges are made of solid brass, die-struck and highly detailed.
