Clasps - Queen's South Africa Medal

A clasp with the name of the theatre or action for which the award is made is presented with the medal.

A further award of the Queen's South Africa Medal in another area or action is recognised by the issue of an additional clasp. Additional clasps are worn above previously awarded clasps, in order of date of receipt.

Altogether twenty-six clasps were awarded, to indicate participation in particular actions and campaigns. Not all clasps are stocked due to their rarity, please contact us if the product you require is not listed, or displays as unavailable.

Our large (or 'Original / Marches & Ceremonies') size clasps are made from solid silver and hand soldered together from two seperate pieces. They are made in the exact same method as the original items and can be stacked and riveted together as per the original items.

The miniature items are a slip-on type and are a cast reproduction that has been nickel plated in most cases. Our 'Belmont' and 'Belfast' clasps are silver as per the large versions. All official clasps are available on request if not stocked.
